Student, Lock Haven University Massage Therapy Program

Mark’s interest in becoming a licensed massage therapist started in 2011 when he enrolled in the massage therapy program at the U.S. Career Institute in Ft. Collins, CO. When Pennsylvania adopted a licensing program for massage therapists, he put this work on hold and has recently re-started on the path to earning his license in Pennsylvania.
Mark has served in the U. S. Army Field Artillery, holds an M.S. in Geoenvironmental Studies, has field and research experience in environmental science, and was a science teacher at the high school level for seventeen years. He and his wife have been married for thirty years and they are the parents of two adult children.
In addition to massage, Mark also earned certification in hypnosis from Steven Burns of the Scottish Centre of NLP as an outgrowth of teaching AP Psychology.
Lock Haven University offers several non-credit Certificate programs in various fields using a hybrid on-line/hands-on approach. Mark is earning his massage therapy certificate through this hybrid program. (Anyone interested in learning more can click here: https://massagetherapyonline.com/lock-haven-massage-program/) Mark is required to perform 50+ clinical massage sessions and needs clients who will give him honest feedback so he can grow & learn as a therapist. These sessions will be: 60, 90 or 120 minute sessions at no cost (gratuities welcome); scheduled by clicking below - first come; first served. Catherine has become an approved teacher and will be sharing her experience, knowledge & supervision as he completes his required 220 hours of hands-on training within the practice walls of Catherine & Co! We are all so excited and know that Mark is going to be an amazing therapist & team member.
