MELINDA DUNMIRE

Melinda is the mother of two beautiful young ladies and has always gravitated towards careers that involve working and assisting individuals with their health, wellness, and overall well-being. She was a Medical Assistant from 2006 to 2013, a career where she was well respected and loved. In the fall of 2015, she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism (Underactive Thyroid). Although her doctor explained that she would have this disease and take prescription medication for the rest of her life, she intuitively felt this was not true for her. In March of 2017, she enrolled with the Institute of Integrated Nutrition and graduated as a certified Holistic Health & Wellness Coach. During her enrollment, she learned many dietary theories and applied them to her life. She also attended many holistic workshops in her area, became Reiki Master Certified, and learned Transcendental Meditation. Applying these different wellness modalities contributed to the healing of her mind, body, and soul. In the fall of 2018, it was confirmed by her doctor and bloodwork, that she no longer had Hashimoto’s or hypothyroidism. By listening and trusting her intuition, she was able to heal herself.

 

Melinda recently graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College and became a licensed massage therapist. She is a firm believer that self-care and personal growth are keys to excelling in her healing work and assisting others with maintaining their health and wellness. Her plan is to continue her journey utilizing her knowledge to serve others and sharpen her massage therapy skills to benefit her community.
