Enjoy a full body massage designed to release chronic muscle tension with slow firm strokes and deep pressure, which is directed specifically to individual muscle fibers. Heavy kneading and deep friction warm the muscles and increase circulation, relieving muscle tension. Deep tissue massage is very effective and the work is always kept within the comfort range of the client.
Often to referred to as a "Swedish" massage, this is the most basic of all methods. This massage is a light, flowing, pleasurable massage that uses gliding strokes and gentle friction techniques. Relaxes the body with slow strokes by increasing the blood circulation and production of “feel good” neurochemicals such as serotonin and dopamine. Gently increases range of motion.
Often a blend of several different modalities. Targets an area that is consistently painful (the neck or lower back, for example). Uses proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, myofascial release and trigger point work, alongside traditional neuromuscular (deep tissue) strokes to provide relief to chronic pain sufferers.
Tranquil relaxation to reduce stress and relieve low back, neck and legs from the strains a pregnancy can cause. Increased circulation is good for both mother and baby, as it brings more oxygen to the uterus as well as to other internal organs. Great gift idea for any expecting Mom.
Described as "the deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet", this technique utilizes bars suspended from the ceiling for balance and leverage as the therapist uses her feet to deliver long, deep strokes designed to provide the tissue with a stretch that no other technique can deliver. This can be a full-body massage or focused on specific regions, such as low back, legs, etc.
Reflexology is a non-invasive therapy which can be used alone or in conjunction with other bodywork therapies. The practitioner applies pressure and massage strokes to the hands and feet. As all of the body’s nerves end in the hands and feet, it is the practitioner’s goal to improve communication between nerve ending and corresponding body part which can then lead to improved functioning of the body. Everyone can benefit from Reflexology. This body work is very practical in maintaining good health and aids the body in strengthening. “Bring the FEET to life, and the body will follow” ~ Claire Marie Miller
TABLE THAI MASSAGE
The therapist uses her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches and also applies deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure. It corrects blockages, deficiencies, and imbalances in the flow of this energy, which then is believed to improve the client's health.
